Double Phonecall video as presented at assessment

This is a little piece I made a few days before assessment with camera-work by David Weekes.

The artist part of me is attacked by the domestic part of me, but holds her own from the 'control-room' upstairs.

We made the workroom video first, recording both the ring-tone, and the audio on a mobile phone, and then playing them back while we recorded the second video. Think I need to learn some more about improving the quality of audio.
A small bit of editing was done in Final Cut Pro. Then the FCP movie was opened in iMovie to make the quicktime movie.

GG as presented for final assessment

No luck with this one.
The final piece is done in Flash 8 so that you can click on the rectangles of Gerry's painting (see below), and the underlying video image brightens for a few seconds and then fades.

Well, its 7Mb, and seemed to upload, so I waited until it had the 7 M done showing.
Then an error message came up telling me to report the fault to blogger and include the following information (maybe its not a good idea to publish this code for all the world to see, so I will put it in a small text file alongside the video.

I have a vague plan to work on learning more Flash during the summer, and to see can I do this piece a bit more simply. It has even been suggested to me that I might be able to do it just using HTML. Well, we shall see.
Sorry I can't show you the full piece.

Archive EC 2008

This is one of the pieces from my final 6-week project in Media 2 at NCAD 2008

I am now in my 8th decade. The video shows objects from each decade.
I used two cameras, and layered the resulting footage with decreased opacity in the upper layer. Similarly I reduced the audio in the first voice to give a suggestion of thought preceding speech.
I made the piece using Final Cut Pro, and reduced the size of the video using iMovie
